2027 Planned Kidding Season

We are so excited for our upcoming 2027 kidding season at Sonoran Blonde Ranch. Our breedings are thoughtfully planned with a focus on temperament, dairy qualities, healthy structure, and sweet, family-friendly kids.

The EA Sweet Pea × Blue Cactus Apache Moonstone

Estimated Due Date: February 12, 2027

This is a pairing we are especially excited about. Sweet Pea produces incredibly sweet, people-friendly babies, and her kids are handled and loved on from the very beginning. We expect this pairing to produce exceptionally tame, affectionate kids with wonderful personalities.

The EA Posh × WF Marshall

Exposed: September 27, 2026
Estimated Due Date: February 25, 2027

Posh was exposed to Marshall on September 17. If she settled from that breeding, we expect her to kid right around Valentine’s Day.

The EA Primrose “Big Mama” × Blue Cactus Apache Moonstone

Exposure Began: September 19, 2026
Estimated Kidding Window: February 12–March 5, 2027

Big Mama will remain exposed to Apache through October. If she settled from her first breeding around September 19, her estimated due date would be approximately February 16, 2027. If she settles on a later heat cycle, her kidding date may fall sometime in March.

All dates are estimated and may shift slightly depending on the actual breeding date. We will update this page as pregnancies are confirmed and kidding season gets closer.

🌸 Primrose- Big Mama (Senior Doe)

• Personality: Calm, motherly, and always first to greet visitors at the gate.
  
  

• Milk Notes: Produces rich, high-butterfat milk perfect for cheesemaking and soaps.
  
  

• Breeding Notes: Proven dam with strong udder attachments and consistent, healthy kids (our current two doelings).

🌼 Posh (Black and White Doe)

• Personality: Independent but affectionate once she trusts you.

🍯 Sweet Pea (Light brown and black doe)

• Breeding Notes: Strong topline, great feet, and comes from strong dairy lines. Currently raising her buckling.

• Personality: Curious and playful, often the “troublemaker” of the herd.

🌀 Boho Belle Moon's Big Boy Blue (Wether)

• Year of Birth: 2025
  
  

• Color/Markings:  White and light brown with blue eyes.
  
  

• Personality: Friendly and bold; loves head scratches.
  
  

• Breeding Notes: Will be wethered if not sold as a breeding buck; strong dairy genetics from both sides.
  
  

🌟 Wolverton Farm's Marshall (Our prized boy, our Herd Sire)

• Year of Birth: 2025
  
  

• Color/Markings: Buckskin with heavy moonspots and blue eyes
  
  

• Personality: Alert, intelligent, and already showing promise as a confident, herd-leading buck.  Loves being held and  very good with small children.
  
  

• Breeding Notes: Selected for improving milk production and udder attachments in our herd. Successful breeding with 1 Senior Doe and 2 Junior Does in Fall 2025.  Will breed select does in Fall 2026 (Likely Sweet Pea, Primrose "Big Mama" and Posh).

🌟 The Bohemian Farmstead's Indigo Blue "Big Boy Blue:" (Marshall's big buckling born 1/13/2026, keeping to breed with other does)

• Personality: Born weighing 3.9lbs and ready to roll.  Hearty, healthy and catches on fast.  Very affectionate with our family and loves to be held. 
  
  

• Breeding Notes: Will assess in Fall 2026 if he is going to breed with Sweet Pea or Big Mama.

💡 Note: All goats are regularly tested for CAE, CL, and Johnnes disease and receive routine hoof trimming, mineral supplementation, and rotational grazing for optimal health.
